Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
