Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
